Mango banana smoothie

These smoothies are so fabulous there’s no need to trick your kids into something healthy. Buy some plastic cups with lids and straws and teach them to how to use the blender; if you keep the ingredients on hand, they’ll love to blend their own and take it on the run.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mango nectar
  • 1 cup frozen mango pieces
  • 1 small ripe banana, peeled, sliced

Preparation

Place all ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth; pour into glasses and serve. 

Mango nectar comes in small cans and is available in the Asian section of your super- market. Can be substituted with orange juice.
