- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Combine butter and sugars in bowl of stand mixer. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Reduce mixer speed to low and gradually incorporate flour mixture, then stir chocolate chips in by hand.
Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375° F. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto parchment-lined baking sheets 2" apart. Bake about 10 minutes. Cookies are done when just golden.
