Food Styling or Perfect Turkey? - Everything Anna
We are often asked about our food styling. Readers wonder, is that really the way it will turn out if I make it? What kind of kitchen tricks give your turkey that crispy brown skin? It must be some kind of food stylist magic....

As we sat down to enjoy the fabulous spread you see photographed here, we were reminded of how important it is for us to show our recipes in their natural state. No food tricks here, just great lighting, and an espresso-dyed deer hide table runner to bring it all together. At the end of the day it really comes down to the food — cooked the way it should be and shared with friends and family.

Our Thanksgiving menu, with its subtle twists on tradition, includes Cornbread stuffing, Cranberry sauce with red wine, an irresistible Gratin of Brussels sprouts and show-stopping Spatchcocked turkey, topped off with a divine Sweet potato pie with ginger snap crust. And it will all turn out photo-ready on your table, just as it did on ours.
